The Temporary Scanner / File Clerk will scan all necessary documents into scanner with a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy which will include filing as assigned by management. 

The ideal candidate has experience with scanning and he or she must be detail-oriented and proficient with filing and a High School Graduate.  


  • Coordinate, prepare, process projects for document scanning, electronic conversion, indexing, and microfilm.
  • Receive documents and flatten, remove staples to prep for scanning.
  • Sort prepped documents into batches by inter-department recipient groups.
  • Scan documents in batched by department.
  • Check specifications on each document request form for accuracy, quality and time requirements.
  • Upon completion of processing documents/ electronic files/digital records perform quality check and then process to the client’s specified delivery media platform.
  • Maintain scanner quality (i.e. cleaning lens, reporting mechanical failures). Maintain required levels of quality and rates of production.
  • Record objective and bibliographic information as appears on documents.
  • Follow all document preparation and capture procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year experience working in a mailroom, print center or records office environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of scanning, digital imaging, microfilm, and document management formatting.
  • Excellent ability to perform routine functions of various equipment and systems (fax, scanner, metering, stamping, tracking systems, photocopying, color copying, etc.)
  • Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance are a must. Ability to work overtime & meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of records software systems, scanners, filing, storage & disposal procedures.
  • High degree of proficiency in computer skills especially when using records tracking system or quick retrieval, filing & storage of files.
